Dr. Hoffler was born in Richmond, Virginia and also lived in Germany, South Carolina, Georgia, Ohio, Texas, and Florida during his childhood. He graduated from high school in Titusville, Florida and received his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Florida, graduating from medical school in 1987. He received his pediatric training at the Medical College of Virginia from 1987-1990.

Dr. Hoffler joined ABC Pediatrics in 1990. He and his wife, Cheryl, have 5 children and live in Fayette County. He is active in his church and in medical missions, which is his passion. He has participated in over thirty-five medical missions trips in ten different countries. Influenced by a great mentor from his high school church youth group, Eric has taught and led youth and adult groups locally and abroad. In addition to family, other hobbies include photography, gardening, travel (he's been to all fifty states and thirty-five countries), scuba diving, hunting, classical music and classic rock, and of course chocolate.
