Dr. Deanna Smoak was born in south Georgia and moved to Fayetteville when she was 10 yrs old. She was homeschooled through middle and high school and then attended State University of West Georgia where she received her BS degree in Biology in 2002. Dr. Smoak graduated from Mercer University School of Medicine in 2007 and started here at ABC Pediatrics soon after completing her pediatric residency at University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2010.
As the oldest of six children, Dr. Smoak was always passionate about caring for children and spent a lot of time babysitting and working in the church nursery as a teenager. Her family was not surprised when she chose pediatrics as a career. She enjoyed growing up in Fayetteville and felt that God was leading her back to practice here.
Dr. Smoak is married and has two daughters and two sons. She enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her family.
